Rempel Brothers Construction has been known for many years for the excellent foundations we construct, but we also offer a wide variety of other services for our clients.

We set the grade with our land surveyor to make sure you have positive drainage away from your house. If this is not done correctly you can have water issues for years to come.

Excavation & Hauling

After setting the house grades with our surveyor we excavate your lot to the proper footing height, always double-checking to ensure this step is accurate. We haul any excess fill dirt to designated dump sites within your subdivision.

Pile Drilling (Concrete & Screw Piles)

A drilling rig is used to drill a hole for concrete or to drive piles into the ground for steel screw piles that are later filled with concrete for structural support to limit any movement in the foundation. This movement can occur due to the ground settling or frost lifting, the friction of both concrete and steel piles greatly reduce this risk.

Topsoil

Different types of top soils can be purchased through Rempel Brothers, we can supply you with different products and pricing depending on your needs.

Residential Demolition

Once your needs are determined, a plan is created. The plan will include how the demolition is to be carried out and the equipment needed. The ultimate goal is to get your building demolished in the safest and most efficient way possible while staying within budget. These decisions will depend on things such as building or house size, building materials, neighboring buildings, and location.

Bobcat & Loader Services

Our experienced operators can handle all types of custom bobcat and loader work, from spreading topsoil to hauling fill dirt in or out of your yard.

Snow Removal

From commercial properties to condo developments and residential homes we clean and haul your snow for you. We offer seasonal contracts and per push contracts.

Foundations and Repairs

Footings

The purpose of concrete footings is to support the foundation. Chalk lines are snapped on top of the footing to assure the squareness of your foundation. Footings come in different widths and depths to meet the required specs.

Foundation Walls

Concrete walls are poured below ground level and serve as the main support for a structure. Foundation walls combat frost heaving (upward swelling of soil during freezing conditions) since they are poured below the frost level.

Damp Proofing

After the foundation wall has been poured and the forms have been stripped, we spray on damp proofing (typically tar or asphalt-based). This helps prevent moisture from passing through the concrete walls to the interior space of your basement.

Crushed Rock and Weeping Tile

A weeping tile system is a simple drainage system installed around your home, next to the exterior side of the footing which is the base of your foundation walls. The purpose of weeping tile, also referred to as drainage tile or drain tile, is to provide a drainage point for water that has accumulated at the base of the foundation (the footing), to the storm sewer beneath your street or into a sump pump liner installed beneath your basement floor.

Grade Beam

Grade beams are used for two purposes in deep foundation systems: To carry loads to the pile foundation and to brace the pile foundation. A grade beam is exactly what it sounds like, a beam. A beam by definition is a member carrying loads that span an unsupported length. Though a grade beam is cast on soil, it is actually designed to span from pile to pile not considering the soil underneath the beam for bearing

Basement Floor

Your basement floor changes in thickness depending on your requirements. It is poured upon crushed rock and poly. Available option for under slab heating.

Garage Floor

Your garage floor changes in thickness depending on your requirements. Treatments can be added to your garage floor to help fight off salt damage from harsh Saskatchewan winters. Minimum 3” of slope to ensure proper drainage. Available option for under slab heating.

Specialty Concrete

Driveways and Sidewalks

For tough Saskatchewan winters concrete is the material of choice. We pour our driveways 4” thick over 6” gravel fill with 10 mm rebar at 24” on center each way. We only use Duramix concrete which is specifically designed to fight road salt.

Decorative Concrete

Decorative concrete slabs have been very popular over the last 15 years we offer exposed aggregate, stamped and colored options.

Custom Concrete Steps

One of the first items you see when you look at a house is the front step. Doing a custom step will make your house stand out. We can do a standard step or use one of our decorative concrete options.
